TO KEEP OFFICE UDATED Some Office updates are probably more trouble than they're worth, however you should probably install service packs and any subsequent security-related updates. Best to read what they are before installing them and make your own judgement. You sometimes need to have a copy of the Office installer CD for the updates to work. Office XP users should ensure that they have upgraded to at least Service Pack 3 and also install anything that is identified as a security update. 1. Open the Windows Update site in Internet Explorer as described above (http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com). 2. Click on the link to "Office Update" in the horizontal navigation bar across the top. This takes you to the Office Update web site. 3. Click the "Check for Updates" link either in the middle of the screen at the top, or in the navigation column on the left hand side. This will take a little while. 4. Scroll down the list selecting any updates you want to install, then back at the top of the page click on the "Start Installation" button. Again just click "Yes", "I Agree" and "OK" as appropriate. Everything should be straightforward from there.
