You'll need an FTP client for starters, have a look in our Links section if you need to download one. In some cases you might be using a web design program such as Dreamweaver which has an inbuilt FTP program.

Your user name should be in the form "user@domain" (we would have sent you this information when we set your account up). The FTP server can be "ftp.blueskyhost.net" or "ftp.yourdomain.com".

The "remote path" or "remote directory" setting tells the FTP client which directory to change into after it has logged in (i.e. which folder on the server your web site is pointing at). This should be set to "mainwebsite_html" or "/var/www/html".
