| New spam blacklists and filtering rules |
|
We've changed some configurations on the mail server in an attempt to reduce the amount of spam email that's getting through to mailboxes and causing unnecessary server load.
As a part of this we've implemented some black lists on the server. These prevent email from known spam sources ever reaching the server. Hopefully this will simply mean that customers will notice a decrease in spam, however it is possible that legitimate mail may get blocked as a result. If you come across any instances of this happening please let us know (generally this means someone will contact you saying that their email to you email bounced). We have also upgraded the spam filtering rules. Hopefully this means more spam will get tagged as such before it arrives in your Inbox. Again, we recommend keeping an eye on this mail rather than just deleting it as there is some scope for false positives. |
